Take your dives home with you!  Our PADI Underwater Video courses are the perfect way to capture all of the activity of the Ningaloo Reef.  Our courses are tailored to suit your needs and interests so you can create an adventure your friends and family will want to watch over and over again!

PADI UW VIDEO COURSE

Join us for our three day/four dive Video Course.  We recognize that each student has different experiences with video and dive skills, so our course is flexible to meet your needs and to provide you with the skills you need to produce a fabulous finished movie!  The course is divided into three sections: Theory, Practical Application & Review/Critique

THEORY: These sessions will cover the basics such as:

  • Composition, exposure, focus
  • In-water camera handling
  • Choosing a system
  • Preparation, care & maintenance
  • Camera angles, techniques and shots
  • Housing & camera controls
  • Post processing, software & editing
  • Developing a story
  • Pre-shoot preparation

PRACTICAL APPLICATION:  These sessions will cover the essentials to begin capturing usable images

  • Diving skills
  • Body positioning
  • Using natural light & filters
  • Close-ups, Medium and Long shots
  • Panning & zooming
  • Macro work
  • Shooting sequences & key scenes
  • Working with models

 

REVIEW & CRITIQUE:  These sessions include reviewing your footage on a large screen and discussing techniques and tips for improving shots and capturing missing scenes.  We also use these sessions to set objectives for our next dives.

We provide:
  • PADI Underwater Videographer Certification upon successful completion
  • Use of any dive equipment you need
  • Tanks/weights
  • Air fills
  • 4 boat dives on the Ningaloo Reef
  • Free use of video and housing system
  • Copy of your footage set to music on either VHS or DVD

  • Open Water or higher certification
  • Log Book
